Halloween.Teacher Daniela Ionescu and her class III D.

Hello,
My name is Daniela Ionescu, and I am a teacher for primary school. Also I teach English sometimes, and I am Gina’s colleague too.
This was a short activity to celebrate Halloween. My children from class 3D were dressed up in ghosts, witches, monsters, and other characters that they thought were appropriate for this event.
Before the beginning of the activity they really scared me first; they turned off the lights and hid behind the desks. When I came into the classroom, they shouted: “Booooo!” like in the poems they learned. It was a surprise for me…
The classroom was decorated with objects made of natural materials; there were Jack-o-Lanterns, gourds, pumpkins, and lots of fruit: apples, nuts, pears, grapes, quinces and even corn and leaves. Also there were objects made of recycled materials and little toys bought by the children.
The room was lightened with candles to make the atmosphere and there was a red lamp in the back of the classroom.
We were happy to celebrate Halloween in our country because even it isn’t a fest of ours; it brings joy and happiness for children. They had a small party after the activity – they ate cookies, biscuits, candies, drank juice and danced. All in all it was quite a party for everybody.
